They confirm the charge, then tell me, "well you had the equipment for 3 years, we can't refund after that period of time. I spoke with different agents who all said different things (We didn't charge you a non-return fee, I tell them you have to go back to 2014. I wait a couple months before calling to inquire about the credit. I return all equipment in my possession at the UPS store and get a receipt showing all serial numbers in July 2017. Well as life would have it, I didn't think about it again, my account was on autopay for ~$200/month for cable and internet, so they got plenty of money from me for mediocre service at best.įast forward to 2017, I'm now fed up with paying so much for crappy service and I cancel my account. So, to ensure I had a working modem, I didn't return either modem understanding I would be charged, but that I could eventually receive a credit once I finally return the modem. No where did it indicate a maximum time frame for returning the equipment. The letter I received instructing me how to return the original modem stated that I had 21 days to return the original modem to avoid a $150 non-return fee, but if returned after 21 days to wait 2-3 billing cycles to see a credit. The other one was sent, but before it arrived, the original modem started working again. ![]() In May 2014, my internet modem stopped working so I called AT&T to have another sent. The customer service agents are trained to lie. ![]()
